Amazon Global Account Manager, Telco, Telco Customer Unit Dach-Benelux in Zurich, Switzerland

Description

AWS is seeking a world-class professional to manage relationships with major Telco customers in the Alps Region. The Global Account Manager, Telco will be responsible for providing global business leadership and management for Telco Accounts in that Region. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor migration projects and engage virtual resources. You will define executive relationships within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews and maintain customer satisfaction.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

The Global Account Manager is responsible for teaming with the customer’s IT Organization to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. The Global Account Manager is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. They will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests.

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working with a large Global organization as lead and Relationship Manager.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as the primary leader for several Telco accounts in the Alps region working with multiple business units and influencing governance and policy is a plus.

  • A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience

  • Extensive enterprise selling experience in large global accounts.

  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record.

  • Ability to navigate across AWS and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach; and, establish credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations.

  • A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas, SaaS, PaaS) would be preferred but not required.
