Amentum Field Service Representative - Towed Artillery M777/M119-1 in Zavzerni, Poland

Purpose:

This position advises, assists, and provides maintenance oversight of repair operators, including performance of maintenance and repair of commercial or military equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Inspects and all maintenance and repair efforts of field artillery (M109’s, M1A2’s, breech maintenance, borescopes, Recoil exercise, 120mm mortars, M242 chain gun M2A3, and armament systems.

  • As the FSR, performs field and sustainment maintenance on artillery; responsible for the direct and general support maintenance; include the CROWS, Remote Weapons Station (RWS), M777A2 Howitzer, and 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Mortars; responsible for the Cleaning, Inspecting, Servicing, Repairing, Disposition, Evacuation and Movement of all Weapons in support of the mission.

  • Managing and directing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as required, including repair of electronic materiel, artillery, support equipment, small arms and crew served weapons.

  • Responsible for assisting with all programs and missions involving repair of weapons systems as configured into packaged unit sets.

  • Responsible for combat readiness and assist with management of a Direct Support/General Support maintenance mission.

  • Inspects all repairs completed on the above-mentioned equipment. Inspects all repairs, replacements and/or modification barrel assemblies, upper receivers, lower receivers, gas tubes, gas rings, feed trays, feed pawls, buffers, and their related components.

  • Determines serviceability of parts; exercises initiative to maintain productive progress and accepts responsibility for the results.

  • Oversees the use of common hand-tools and shop equipment to ensure employee safety.

  • Diagnoses and determines remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repair of tow artillery or small arms weapons, with little or no supervision, using a variety of diagnostic techniques and practices.

  • Instruct other employees in the proper repair maintenance procedures and capabilities of small arms and tow artillery maintenance and related TMDE.

  • Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.

  • Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.

  • Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System. Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 6 years’ related experience required.

  • Prior military experience is a plus.

  • Military MOS 91F (USA) 2111/2131 USMC or civilian equivalent preferred

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements

  • If required must be able to obtain and hold a NACI Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English Must have the ability to analyze and interpret U.S. Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair.

  • Must have valid drivers license; international drivers license preferred.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facilty credentials/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Physical requirements include prolonged standing, moderate walking, repeated bending, and climbing, overhead work, working in cramped positions, lifting, pulling, and pushing weights up to 100 pounds. Good vision (corrected or uncorrected) and good hearing (with or without a hearing aid) required. Will work inside and outside in various weather conditions, subject to rapid changes in temperature due to nature of work. Hazards include danger from gas fumes, falls, electric shock and burns, cuts, and bruises. Must have normal color vision. When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must cease work and notify lead, supervisor, or manager of all unsafe conditions.
