Senior Engineer RFID (Zaventem)

Location: Zaventem (Belgium), hybrid

Purpose

The Sr. Engineer, Electrical will closely collaborate with internal and external partners in the development of new and support of existing CribMaster RFID products, primarily in Europe. Responsible to ensure compliance with Global RFID regulations. Occasionally travel to customer sites throughout Europe to resolve issues and improve performance.

CribMaster is currently collaborating with PervasID, an innovative RFID technology hardware and software provider (with HQ in Cambridge England).

The Job (responsibilities):

• Collaborate with PervasID to conduct thorough testing on new & existing CribMaster products and troubleshoot defective products, on site at PervasID in Cambridge, England or any customer site in Europe.

• Collaborate with leading RFID tag manufacturers to specify & test radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags suitable for use with new and existing CribMaster products

• Collaborate with CribMaster Compliance Manager and external regulatory compliance personnel

• Employ radio-frequency and electronics technology to pair RFID tags with readers and other electronics

• Invent new use cases for RFID technology, and design implementation plans for these uses

• Occasional Overtime may be required to support customer outages or on time delivery of a new product

• Travel up to 20% (mainly in Europe)

The Person (requirements):

• Higher Degree - Science (from accredited college or university)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with products involving RFID technology for the purpose of tool tracking & consumables management

• Demonstrated knowledge of global RFID technology regulations

• Strong English language skills, any other European language is an asset

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated work ethic.
