JOB SUMMARY:
The CAT Rental Driver will transport all Ohio Machinery Co. general construction equipment to and from customers and/or other locations using a tractor trailer and unload/load the truck of the equipment. There will be some basic instruction provided to the customers on the operation of the equipment, as well as ensuring rental agreements are signed. All equipment will be inspected prior to delivery to customer to ensure complete customer satisfaction. The CAT Rental Driver will perform duties of their position in compliance with DOT regulations and report all safety and maintenance concerns immediately.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Two years of prior truck-trailer combination driving experience.
Two year of construction equipment operation experience.
Knowledge of a driver’s logbook.
CDL Class A license is required along with a current Medical Certification Card and a clean driving record.
COMPETENCIES:
Attention to detail, quick reaction times, and situational awareness while driving and operating equipment is required.
Desire to approach learning and training as an ongoing, career-long process.
Knowledge and constant practice of safe work habits.
High level of composure and good stress management.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50lbs; Climbing on and off a delivery vehicle as well as on and off equipment; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
