About Role

We are looking for an experienced person, with a proven track record, to work within our MDS team in Central Eastern Europe. The role requires working closely with the teams to implement the strategies/activities at local country level as well as working with the CEE marketing team and Manager Clinical Solutions. A key component will be a country by country understanding of market trends, customer needs, clinical practice, purchasing process and competitive environment for Medical Delivery Solutions. Strategies and plans will then be defined on the basis of these insights regarding priority segments, value propositions, market shaping and commercial approaches. Similarly working closely with the Country Business Leaders to manage current distributor partners for the portfolio. This will involve making longer term recommendation of the go to market options and models. The Business Unit Manager will work closely with other members of the commercial function including Marketing, Product management and Clinical.

Overall pur pose and primary responsibilities of the role:

  • Driving incremental sales and services with our distributors in acute care hospitals using competitive MDS products and solutions.

  • Developing distributor strategies, in conjunction with multiple sales teams, to increase category share across the MDS portfolio

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers.

  • Expanding the MDS footprint together with our distributors in existing accounts by selling the MDS “better together” messaging at the highest levels within the organization.

What is expected of you for success in your role:

  • Must be an expert in the Medical Delivery Solutions selling process and messaging (BD way of selling)

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of MDS products and solutions, industry insights for Medical Delivery products, key competitors, terminology, technology trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation, etc.

  • Market shaping

  • Understanding and ability to influence the development and implementation of pricing and required adjustments to ensure competitive advantage in the market

  • Demonstrates advance knowledge of how Medical Delivery Solutions offerings match with customers' unique business needs.

  • Negotiating and collaborating effectively with customers and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieving consensus

  • Building and sustaining relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty

  • Creating and executing a significant pipeline

  • Consistently utilizing all resources available within MDS CE

Required competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Held Business Development role in a matrix organisation focused on solution selling in a Healthcare based organisation.

  • Experience and expertise selling to technical decision makers by aligning and reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria preferred.

  • Experience working with complex business models

  • The ability to engage, involve and influence cross functional teams (sales, marketing, clinical) to drive the required outcome for the customer.

  • 7 + years of experience with evidence of career progression in the relevant sales field, ideally with prior experience in key account management or strategic marketing

  • Proven experience in the distribution of complex solutions in the healthcare sector.

  • Product or program development with a strategic approach to the solution.

  • Design mindset being able to help the customer visualize the end solution.

  • Evidence based track record in solution selling and cross functional selling.

  • Willingness to expose oneself to new, diverse, ambiguous situations. In these situations, rapidly adapts and identifies key levers of success.

  • Learns from past experiences, shares knowledge with others and applies it to new challenges and environment.

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
