The BAE Systems Combat Vehicles site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Production Work Instructions and Standard Work. This position will support the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle product line. This position supports 1st Shift with typical hours for 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The position entails:
Creating and modifying assembly work instructions and production drawings from engineering technical data using PTC Creo models
Using theoretical knowledge of common manufacturing processes including machining, welding symbols, tooling, etc
Reviewing, comparing, and evaluating Technical Data Package (TDP) drawings for impact to production documentation
Maintaining configuration control of work instructions and production drawings in both electronic and hard copy repositories using EPDM
Working with process engineering, floor support engineering, and bargaining unit employees to optimize manufacturing processes and document within work instructions
Participate in Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities
Working with Production Systems Control to perform MMAS audits to ensure accuracy of manufacturing bills of materials
Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and policies
Developing and maintaining Standard Work in partnership with Operations for established manufacturing processes
Working with Material Planning and Industrial Engineering teams to structure and maintain Operation Sequence Numbers (OSN) in the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Production Work Instructions (PWI)
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 4 years experience in lieu of degree
Basic literacy in 3D modeling software such as Creo or SolidWorks
Aptitude to review, compare, and evaluate drawings for manufacturing execution
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Strong communication skills for both oral and written presentations
Ability to work in a shop floor environment to support manufacturing needs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience
Experience with military vehicle systems is preferred
Experience developing work instructions
Experience working with the Department of Defense and/or military and/or government is a plus.
Experience with drawing review and release cycles is preferred
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57866 - $98372
