As a WellSpan emergency medicine physician, you'll benefit from our commitment to reinvesting in our providers and communities. We're seeking a board- eligible / certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in York, Pennsylvania

What you can expect at your practice:

  • Seeking a board-certified/eligible emergency medicine physician to join York Hospital's Emergency Medicine Department.

  • York Hospital is a Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center, handling over 80,000 annual visits.

  • Designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, York Hospital delivers top-tier stroke care.

  • Collaborate with a team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and 38 residents.

  • Benefit from extensive support services, including a quick-turnaround lab, a large hospitalist team for efficient admissions, two advanced digital imaging exam rooms, and two state-of-the-art CT scanners.

  • WellSpan's Emergency Department is a high-volume facility, treating approximately 240 patients daily.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or

  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and

  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required and

  • Must be credentialed for all core procedures. Upon Hire Required

  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Commander. Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency care, techniques and procedures.

  • Teaching skills.
