Aerotek 2nd Shift Slitting Operator in York, Pennsylvania

Hiring 2nd Shift Machine Operators

Monday -Friday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm (train on 1st shift 7am to 3;30 (OT 5am start))

We are looking to hire Slitter Operators In the Commercial Finishing department

This candidate will be operating the slitter machine, which cuts the wallpaper to specific specs.

The machines are already set up, so will not be required to do any setup.

The job consists of loading rolls, set measurements, and start the cutting process.

Once the material is cut, the candidate then wraps the finished product and puts it on a pallet for shipping.

Everything is tracked by paper, so will need to stay organized as they work through their work order list.

Will be required to inspect wall paper for quality too to make sure there are no rips, etc.

The candidate should also have a little forklift experience, which will help with driving the pull truck or "carpet puller".

Rolls size- 5 Ft Long, 8 inches in diameter and weighing 35 to 45lbs. Not overly heavy but an obtuse shape

The rolls that are loaded into the machine typically weigh 35-45 pounds. There is a lift truck available if a specific roll is heavier.
