LifePoint Health CT Tech in Wytheville, Virginia
Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Conducts patient education as necessary. Administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
Reports to: Director of Imaging Services
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Venipuncture skills.
Required License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire ARRT
Minimum Work Experience At least one year of previous experience in a Radiologic Technologist role or CT role strongly preferred.
Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicate need. Will be available to report to facility within 45 minutes of notification. This status will be determined by the Department Director of Administrator on call.
Minimum Education Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
