Summary CAE is looking to add cognitive modeling to the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). Specifically, the team is integrating models of situation awareness into AFSIM and applying these models to several Air Force related use cases. Future research and development work will extend the work with additional cognitive capabilities and use cases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Support team by developing and using Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) models to aid in analysis. Transform study objectives into data requirements and modeling language. Aid in the identification of data sources to meet model input requirements, data collection, and maintenance of collected data. Maintain responsibility for cleaning data, pre-processing data, developing model input files, post-processing of simulation results, and modifying and developing models in associated software, to perform analysis and decision support on issues of interest. Generate special displays, charts, graphics, data pulls, comparisons, and other analyses. Archive and retrieve completed studies and their associated data. Qualifications and Education Requirements 2+ years of experience with one of more of the following: simulation modeling, simulation analysis, mission engineering, military operations planning, military campaign analysis, or wargaming Experience in various programming languages including, but not limited to C, C# C++, C, Python, Java, SQL, and AFSIM scripting language Experience in object-oriented software development languages and processes Experience with a variety of analytical and computational methods, including classical and modern statistics, differential equations, and linear algebra Ability to interpret the results for inclusion in high-level analysis efforts Ability to demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving, willingness to learn and apply new methods as required by the requested analysis approach Bachelor's degree with 2 or more years' experience in an engineering role or a Master's degree with 1 or more years' experience in an engineering role Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
