Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

 

  • Operate the SelecT cell culture automation system for various cell lines
  • Execute assay runs and maintenance activities to support the development and qualification of multiplex opsonophagocytic assays (MOPA)
  • Execute assay runs and maintenance activities to support various immunological techniques (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, and cell based assays)
  • Perform clinical testing to support high priority vaccine programs
  • General laboratory upkeep, maintenance, and ordering of supplies
  • Use LIMS and/or Excel workbooks to analyze run data
  • Work according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidance
  • Maintain accurate records in adherence with documentation standards
  • Collaborate and communicate within and across the work group
  • Work in a structured environment under direct to moderate supervision
  • The position requires work with infectious agents and/or pathogens.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess :

 

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate and real time records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, and professional integrity.
  • Previous working experience in a regulated environment (GxP)
  • Previous experience in cell culture
  • Experience with immunological techniques (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, and cell based assays) is also desirable.

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

 

  • B.S./B.A. in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, or related biological science discipline.

Position is first shift, full-time with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encourgased to apply.
