Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong proficiency in Power BI to join our team. In this role, you will analyze financial data, create and manipulate dashboards, and generate insights that inform critical business decisions. Experience working in the non-profit sector is preferred, although candidates with relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Analyze financial performance by collecting, organizing, and interpreting large datasets, optimizing them for accurate reporting and strategic decision-making.
Dashboard Creation: Develop, customize, and maintain Power BI dashboards to showcase KPIs, financial trends, and organizational performance metrics tailored to user needs.
Collaboration: Partner with different departments, including accounting, operations, and leadership, to gather requirements and ensure data integration aligns with organizational goals.
Reporting: Prepare visual and written reports summarizing findings and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, ensuring timely delivery of insights.
Support: Provide training and support to staff using Power BI dashboards to enhance their understanding of the tools and metrics.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all reports adhere to financial compliance standards and maintain accuracy across all systems.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, and integration with various systems.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VBA, and financial modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the non-profit sector.
Familiarity with compliance reporting and ERP systems.
Knowledge of AI-powered financial tools and methodologies is a plus.
Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or Power BI Specialist are highly desirable.
