Position Summary

Support the continued development of our enterprise privacy program to ensure we address our legal and regulatory obligations, particularly those related to consumer and digital privacy. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day privacy operations in the rapidly evolving consumer privacy landscape. This person will report to Senior Legal Counsel and will work closely with other leaders on the enterprise privacy team in support of addressing privacy compliance requirements and commitments from a regulatory and client perspective. This individual should be knowledgeable about compliance and/or legal operations and preferably has familiarity with data privacy.

This person will serve as a privacy subject matter resource that will research and prepare responses to privacy inquiries from business teams and consumers. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing privacy policies and procedures, including maintaining, developing, and improving existing program documentation. This role is expected to develop data privacy proficiency and understand they key aspects of consumer privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA).

Responsibilities for the Privacy Operations Specialist include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining privacy program documentation, including an inventory of relevant consumer and patient policies and coordinating regular updates

  • Monitoring and responding to consumer privacy communications

  • Coordinating privacy impact assessments for our retail and digital operations

  • Supporting the development and improvement of privacy program processes and automation

  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams regarding ongoing privacy compliance activities

  • Preparing communications and presentations for clients and leadership on key privacy issues and guidance

  • Supporting ad hoc projects

Required Qualifications​

  • 2+ years experience in privacy law or compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on consumer privacy issues and knowledge of U.S. and international privacy laws and regulations, including but not limited to CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, FTC Section 5, GDPR, FCRA/FACTA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, GLBA

  • Must be able to prioritize appropriately, and multi-task on high priority and high impact projects.

  • Organization skills and attention to detail to support us in addressing new and discrete legal requirements.

  • Strong ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of privacy, security, and data governance standards and commitments applicable to CVS Health and its various business segments, and the ability to analyze.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,700.00 - $117,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
