Production Control Specialist Job Summary: The PCO specialist is responsible for maintaining the flow of daily transactions and addressing exceptions that may impact the flow of materials and labor required to meet production and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Write outside service purchase orders (i.e heat treat, outside processing) Work MRP exception messages Perform other work-related duties as assigned Education/Experience: 3+ years Production control experience or specialized training in scheduling Must have a background in fabrication, production, scheduling and planning Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing Production planning: 3 years (Preferred) Inventory control: 3 years (Preferred) Other Qualifications: Experience planning, analyzing, and scheduling job order in a manufacturing environment Experience working with suppliers and internal departments Knowledge with cycle counting & physical inventory Familiar with MRP / ERP systems This position requires the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers. Must be able to take verbal and written instructions. Attention to detail - Hard worker - Good attitude Ability to work overtime as needed Physical Demands: Sit, frequently; stand, walk, manually manipulate, grasp and reach outward occasionally. Lift/carry 10lb or less, constantly; 11-20 lbs., occasionally; push/pull 12 lbs. or less, constantly and 13-25 lbs., occasionally. Other physical requirements are vision - near.
