Description
Robert Half is hiring for an accounts payable clerk in the Woodbridge, NJ area. This role functions within the finance and accounting industry, focusing on managing and processing invoices, maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies. The workplace is a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Perform 3-way matching, batching, and coding of invoices.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and allocation of invoices.
• Keep track of the reconciliation discrepancies before posting to the general ledger by the Accounting Department.
• Handle interest application and payment application processes.
• Set up and execute check runs and ACH/wire transfers in the company portal.
• Maintain open communication channels to promptly and professionally address any client concerns or queries.
• Assist in the completion of month-end closing tasks for the Accounts Payable department.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as needed.
Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Check Runs
• Ability to efficiently code invoices
• Strong data entry skills
• Proficiency in Invoice Processing
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
