Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Wood Dale, Illinois. This position, which may transition from contract to a long-term role, is essential in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with applicable regulations. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment while supporting key HR functions.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to compliance standards and company policies.
• Administer employee benefits, including 401k plans and other retirement programs, ensuring proper enrollment and documentation.
• Utilize payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce to manage payroll operations efficiently.
• Conduct audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee concerns related to compensation and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR teams to support organizational initiatives and maintain positive employee relations.
• Generate reports on payroll and benefits data to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for payroll and benefits administration.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist in onboarding processes by ensuring accurate payroll setup for new hires. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of 401k administration and benefits management.
• Familiarity with auditing processes related to payroll and benefits.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to interpret and apply payroll regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with employees.
