Eurofins Laboratory Technician in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom

Previous experience within a laboratory is not required. Full training will be given.

Please note this is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, we currently have the below shift patterns available:

  • Wednesday, 1:30pm - 8:30pm, Thursday & Friday, 10am - 8:30pm, Saturday, 9am - 8:30pm. 

  • Sunday 09:00 - 19:30, Monday and Tuesday 10:00 - 20:30, Wednesday 10:00 - 18:00. 

  • Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00

The training shift pattern for the first two weeks will be Monday to Friday 10:00 - 18:00. 

  • Undertaking all tasks within the main laboratory appropriate to the level of training given to you by team leaders and management

  • Registration, preparation and analysis of samples as required.

  • Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.

  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day

  • Maintain turnaround times.

  • Ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy manner with due attention to the careful maintenance of all laboratory fittings and equipment.

  • Ensure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.

  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. 

  • Assist with continuous improvement within the microbiology department

  • Educated to GCSE Level

  • Experience of working within a team

  • Good organisational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to self motivate
