POSITION PURPOSE
The Safety Manager leads all operations in areas of injury prevention, task assessment, communications, and regulatory compliance. Develops, implements, and manages company safety programs, policies, and procedures. Builds support through aligning with operations and field crews to develop a vision and strategy to enhance an injury-free environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult and guide operations and field crews to ensure the safety strategy is implemented effectively, within established budgets, and complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and employment standards.
Provide strategic direction on planning, development, administration, and management of organizational safety policies, programs, systems, and training.
Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support for all regulatory compliance safety issues (MSHA and OSHA) including record and documentation references.
Facilitates the monthly Safety Committee meeting via web platform.
Manage all worker’s comp injuries on job sites and ensure proper follow-up with employees, managers, and insurance providers.
Provide data on various safety measures to field employees and senior leadership.
Complete required reporting and posting on or before deadlines.
Provide recommendations to correct safety issues as they occur.
Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures; annual Safety Week facilitation.
Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations; requires travel to job sites.
Work with others to administer new and ongoing work comp and auto claims.

REQUIREMENTS
3 years experience in a safety role
Ability to communicate effectively both in written and spoken forms
Ability to listen and provide feedback
Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws; OSHA Standards
Worker’s Compensation insurance reporting and implementation experience
Must have working knowledge of the Spanish language, including reading, writing, and speaking Spanish
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering is preferred
Certifications:
OSHA 30
OSHA OTI Certification preferred
Compensation:
Pay Range: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00
