Job Title: Software Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer who will translate system and software requirements into software designs compliant with architectural constraints and open architecture requirements. You will implement robust, high-quality C++ software suitable for mission-critical, real-time systems with high reliability and availability requirements, and develop test frameworks to verify correct implementation and performance of the software. This role also involves utilizing and helping to iteratively improve DevSecOps development practices, participating in peer reviews, documenting software designs and interfaces, developing analysis tools, and performing root cause analysis of software defects to implement corrections.
Responsibilities
Translate system and software requirements into compliant software designs
Implement robust, high-quality C++ software for mission-critical systems
Develop test frameworks for software verification and performance testing
Utilize and improve DevSecOps development practices
Participate in peer reviews of requirements, architecture, software implementations, and test plans
Document software designs and interfaces
Develop analysis tools
Perform root cause analysis of software defects and implement corrections
Essential Skills
Proficiency in C++ and software engineering techniques including multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization
Experience integrating with larger software systems, including unit and system-level testing
Understanding of GitLab, CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools
Ability to adapt to new programming languages, third-party software frameworks, and innovative technologies
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 5+ years of related experience
Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Familiarity with signal processing or mathematical modeling
Experience with GPU software development
Experience with RDMA
Familiarity with radar concepts
Experience with integrated systems combining software and hardware
Experience developing, optimizing, and translating MATLAB algorithms into efficient C++ code
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
Understanding of automation frameworks and tools
Domain expertise in electronic warfare, antenna apertures, sensor resource management, large-scale platform test systems, cyber-physical systems, or open system architectures
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities to work in Woburn, MA; Dayton, OH; Arlington, VA; or Melbourne, FL. The work involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of real-time processing solutions for advanced multi-function Radar systems. You will collaborate with fellow researchers and engineers on multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for Radar and EW/RF convergence. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
