Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a driven Survey Technician to provide drafting and design support for Project Managers, Engineers, and/or Sr. Designers/Technicians during the planning, design and construction of local and regional land development projects. Clients for the Raleigh group includes federal (military), public, and private projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will utilize AutoCAD to translate mark-ups into drawings, check and plot drawings, correctly label final working drawings, and update contract drawings and specifications.

  • This individual will be responsible for producing mapping and digital data to clients in MICROSTATION V8i, and AUTO-CADD.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Candidates must be proficient in land-based CAD drafting and Autodesk Civil 3D experience.

  • Must have good communication skills and able to work with a team.

  • Proficiency in operating a conventional, robotic total stations, MICROSTATION V8i/ORD to NCDOT Location and Survey Standards.

  • Working knowledge of field to finish production of ALTA Surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking for civil engineering projects.

  • Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

Education and Experience

  • Must be able to work full-time.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as party chief and CADD Technician are required.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

The position will primarily work in an office setting; will require some field work.
