Novant Health Manager Central Scheduling in Winston Salem, North Carolina
Job Summary
Responsible for all administrative functions that contribute to the management and execution of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, upfront pricing and collections responsibilities for all Novant Health Acute Care facilities. Manage the day to day scheduling and revenue cycle pre service operations, for prevention of gaps in the schedule, overbooking, patient no-show recovery, and time-slot capitalization; along with building and maintain collaboration partner ships with all Novant Health outpatient ancillary departments, centers, referring providers, patients, and support staff in regards to scheduling operations. Responsible for enhancing and maintaining all Pre-Visit Services processes throughout all Novant Health facilities which include, providing leadership, daily support, and maintenance of quality, productivity and efficiency levels within the areas of scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and pre service collections. Develops and executes organizational communication strategies, looks for opportunities to expand scheduling services, and manages customer satisfaction with all Novant Health Acute Care facility leaders, NHMG clinics, other Revenue Cycle departments, staff, and patients. Responsible for understanding of scheduling protocols, medical necessity requirements, account registration requirements, insurance and authorization processes. Provide feedback and developing strategies for process improvement. Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications
Education: 4 years Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience: 5 years of scheduling, revenue cycle, customer service experience in a healthcare environment required. 2 years of supervisory or management experience required.
Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
Effective communication and management skills required. Knowledge and understanding of insurance billing practices, patient registration and admitting operations in an acute care setting. Expert knowledge and understanding of scheduling operations. Ability to track and run reports for analysis and tracking purposes. Ongoing process improvement. Proven ability to develop and execute organizational or project related communication plans. Ability to market ideas and information related business solutions. Ability to assimilate information, identify problems and needs, and make any associated decisions required. Project leadership, implementation, and presentation skills required. Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing tools is essential.
Knowledge of how to perform business process analysis, design, and implementation. General knowledge of current hardware, software, and database technologies. Experience using information technology in decision support applications. Ability to travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
