Injection Molding Technician in Winston Salem!

Direct Placement

*Previous experience in plastics or molding is preferred*

Compensation

  • $22-28/HR depending on experience

  • Higher range available for Process Technicians

Responsibilities

  • Adjusts closed loop controllers to optimize machine performance and cycle time.

  • Reads job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and determines sequence of operations.

  • Maintains or improves the quality of the manufacturing process.

  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

  • Sets and adjusts process controllers and secondary equipment.

  • Analyzes, defines, and corrects molding process and general machine problems.

  • Provides guidance to maintenance personnel regarding machine malfunction symptoms.

  • Observes operation of machine and verifies its conformance to standard.

  • Ensures that all machines are operating at standard cycle times and operating efficiencies, as well as producing quality parts. Makes adjustments to process and/or machine setup as necessary to support the above. Notifies molding manager or supervisor when unable to attain due to elements outside of technician’s control.

  • Makes mold changes and setups on molding machines with assistance from machine operators and/or setup personnel. Develops methods to minimize changeover times.

  • Analyzes equipment and processing problems and makes recommendations for potential solutions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with blow molding and blow molding machines.

  • Experience in maintenance repair, plastic mold setup, and specific injection molding.

  • Worked with plastics, injection molding, production, maintenance technician, mold maintenance, mold, tool maintenance, injection mold, repair, and molding.

Climate-controlled working environment ensures comfort year-round. The workplace is clean, well-organized, and streamlined, allowing employees to see the finished products they are creating. The facility includes a new breakroom and an outdoor area currently under construction for all employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $66560.00/yr.
