In 2004, with over 70 years of experience serving the community, GBR Architects joined Stantec, becoming Stantec Architecture Winnipeg. Our local integrated architecture and buildings engineering practice brings together a highly motivated, dynamic, and diverse team of Architects, Interior Designers, Structural, Mechanical, Energy, and Electrical Engineers, Sustainably Specialists, and support staff. Your Opportunity
Our Winnipeg office has an immediate opportunity for a professional and dynamic Project Coordinator to join our Buildings group.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for diverse functions that include but are not limited to the following:
Work with Project Managers in the management of project teams.
Prepare presentations for client meetings.
Creation and collation of project deliverables.
Supporting the architectural team by attending meetings and discussing action items post meeting.
Coordination with other disciplines (engineers, landscape architects, and other consultants).
Managing/updating project logs on a daily/weekly basis
Review of project background information and subsequent project research.
Assist Project Managers in the preparation of work plans, monitoring and updating of project schedules.
Assist Project Managers in coordinating, distributing, and updating the team schedules and Work Load/Staffing Forecasts.
Assist the Project Managers in updating project fee forecasts.
Extract weekly project time reports, and review time spent against budgets with the Project Manager.
Assist the Project Manager in developing and monitoring the schedules for all deliverables (based on the work plan that has been prepared), highlighting issues and areas requiring extra fees on a biweekly basis.
Assist the Project Manager in identifying and communicating scope deviations to key team members.
Take and circulate minutes of project team meetings.
Process sub-consultant invoices, handle enquiries/discrepancies, and coordinate with financial team staff to ensure payment.
Monitor adherence to key Quality Assurance requirements and update master peer review schedule for all projects.
Ensure that Peer reviews are scheduled, completed, and well documented.
Assist the Project Manager in the execution of their duties as may be required from time to time.
Work with the Project Manager in preparing project closure documentation, archiving, and project post-mortems/lessons learned.
Generate weekly summaries of team member utilization, highlighting any discrepancies and report to engineering/architectural Discipline Leads.
Duties described may be modified as needed to support the Buildings group.

Demonstrated attention to detail.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite with excellent skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote.
Understanding of financial documents and project budgeting.
Formal training in Project Management principles will be considered an asset.
Education and Experience
Seeking a candidate with post-secondary education in architecture, business, project management or a related discipline.
Should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Architectural consulting company, or similar, assisting Project teams in an administrative role who is looking to leverage their experience to a new level.
