Site Industrial Material Analyst

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure industrial material requirements are completely investigated, understood and proper materials are received in accordance with the plant's requirements. In doing so, assist plant employees and engineers in being the liaison with external entities and leading follow up activities for any part concerns.

  • Utilizing the CPARS and Aurora systems, order, release, control and dispose of any non-production materials, including non-standard items, special order, critical tools, tooling etc. for the plant.

  • Maintain working relationship with Central Analysts and Purchasing to assist in identifying suppliers/sources of material and carry out actions necessary to obtain these materials. Consult with engineering and technical personnel to overcome design/rework or other technical problems. Act as a liaison with commodity suppliers to resolve any concerns in order to ensure availability of items.

  • Part specification-processing of 1296's to delete items in CPARS as required.

  • Review and follow-up of weekly open order reports.

  • Assist in managing specific commodity management suppliers, under your designated series of parts (CMS program).

  • Support obsolescence program requirements.

  • Liaise with central analyst as needed for emergency requests from floor.

  • Follow up on delivery (as required) on CA orders at the PO level.

  • Issue spot buys, follow up on orders, return materials if required, and enter receipts as required.

  • Support industrial materials (I/M) preparation for MCRP audit.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have post-secondary education.

Must have demonstrated the ability and capacity to successfully control any materials on own initiative and have a comprehensive knowledge of tools and tooling utilized in the plant.

Must have demonstrated the initiative, maturity, job knowledge and judgment required to train and coordinate the efforts of other analysts and stock control personnel.

Must be fully capable and fluent in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

University degree in a business related field. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).

Qualifications as an Inventory Control and Follow Up Analyst.

CPARS experience.
