Ahlstrom Nonwovens, LLC Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in Windsor Locks, Connecticut
PURPOSE OF JOB To provide full maintenance service for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems at three production buildings at the Windsor Locks site. Troubleshoot and analyze systems and component malfunctions by investigating process conditions that are leading to failure in order to determine the corrective actions. Make recommendations for system changes to meet operational, safety and environmental requirements. Assist in engineering capital projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical components such as wiring, conduit, cable tray, switches, analog circuits, motors, variable frequency drives, PLC's, power distribution lighting, etc.
- Be fluent in PLC programming and drive parameterization.
- Work with voltages ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, maintain calibrations/ISO records of process control instrumentation.
- Assist Engineering with system improvement projects and retrofits of old equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams and root cause analysis for machine breakdowns.
