Collins Aerospace P&C Engineering is seeking an Associate Director, Electrical Engineering to lead a high-performing technical organization supporting the design and operations of over 180 electrical products used in both commercial and military aircraft.
This role, can be based in Phoenix, AZ, Windsor Locks, CT; or Rockford, IL, is a key leadership position responsible for driving strategic direction and hands-on execution across engineering, test, operations, and quality. You will lead initiatives focused on Design Readiness, Manufacturing Readiness, and Test Readiness, while championing producibility improvements and next-generation test capabilities to boost performance and efficiency. A critical part of this role is fostering a culture of proactive engineering and innovation, supporting technology strategy, and driving special initiatives that position the business for future growth.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will help shape the organization’s vision and strategy, while mentoring talent and upholding Collins’ core values of trust, integrity, and excellence.
What You Will Do
Create a vision and secure funding for new data analytic concepts and test methodologies
Strategically partner with the business and functional leaders to execute overall strategy utilizing CORE values; Continuous Improvement and Pro-Active methodologies to enable high sustainable yields.
Handle complex technical challenges while helping the team focus on the technical work to be achieved, and the big picture of their efforts.
Cross-Functional coordination between Operations,Design and Program group;facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Monitor and track the progress of key projects, addressing any challenges or issues as they arise.
Performance monitoring of metrics and tracking systems to measure progress against both strategic and operational goals.
Policy and Compliance: ensure that initiatives, projects, and activities comply with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and deploy scalable and repeatable tools and methods that are transparent, controlled and well documented, enabling a more productive and effective organization
Lead Engineering Productivity initiatives – advocate for the RLPM operating standards across programs and develop Producibility roadmaps to enable high yields at launch.
Strengthen the product safety culture through increased awareness and safety management support.
*Qualifications You Must Have *
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and/or MBA
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Experience in technical and strategic leadership
Proven ability to think strategically with a focus on business innovation
Knowledge of engineering development processes
Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries while maintaining a strong customer focus.
Experience utilizing strong analytical skills.
Experience in crafting clear communication and developing professional relationships.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
