Shenandoah University Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Nursing in Winchester, Virginia
Shenandoah University’s School of Nursing is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Nursing position. This position is a full-time, benefited position located on the main campus in Winchester, Virginia.
The administrative assistant to the Dean for the School of Nursing (SON) provides support to the Dean.
Position responsibilities include the following:
Supports the Dean, Associate Deans faculty, staff, and students
Communicates professionally with faculty, staff, and all members of the university community
Manages the day-to-day operations of the office of the Dean
Completes a wide variety of administrative tasks for the Dean, including updating the Dean's calendar of appointments, scheduling meetings, scheduling rooms for events and meetings, making travel arrangements, and creating letters.
Hires and manages work-study students.
Completes and submits monthly P-card statements and requisitions
Submits work orders to the physical plant
Assists students and faculty with questions and concerns
Collaborates with the SON Administrative Assistant, Main Campus, to organize the SON Pinning and Hooding Ceremony and similar events
Supports the SON by providing committee meeting administrative assistance and the development of committee meeting minutes, including Faculty Search, Faculty Evaluation, SON Faculty Council, and Nursing Leadership Council
Performs additional duties as assigned

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience with Gmail, Google, Canvas Organizations, and Spreadsheets preferred
Willingness and ability to learn
