Job Summary:
This position resides in our IT organization and will work closely with our Portal development team and our Aftermarket Solutions organization where we focus on delivering business value through revenue generation, customer experience, and process improvement.
We are looking for a Senior .NET Applications developer to help us build out the next generation of the Teledyne FLIR Portal, a web platform serving customers, end-users, partners, and internal staff. With close ties and integrations to eCommerce, service, and support, the portal handles critical business functions including order and service processing as well as a broad array of features that range from product registration to contract management.
The Senior .NET Applications developer will provide support, analysis, development, and testing for our B2B and B2C Customer Service Application. You will conduct programming activities in a timely manner including requirements gathering, development, debugging, and document generation.
We are looking for a professional with the ability to produce high-quality work with limited supervision, both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will have experience developing, supporting, and maintaining critical customer-facing applications and solving business problems with technology. You will be designing application systems that meet requirements and follow sound development principles and be asked to provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers. You must be detailed oriented and able to translate business needs into application solutions. Our ideal candidate enjoys all aspects of the application development process from collaborating on business requirements to final testing and deployment of innovative technology solutions.
This position will interface with team members in the US and Europe. You must be able to work Eastern Time zone hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work independently and with other developers to deliver support and maintenance to an existing B2B and B2C eCommerce and customer service application
Collaborate with the Product Owner to develop technology solutions to business problems
Develop new application features using the Microsoft technology stack
Interface with the business to provide troubleshooting support and resolve user issues
Test and Document new application features prior to release
Preform functional and technical requirements gathering and application design to ensure a high-quality and maintainable code base
Manage all aspects of the Software Development Life-Cycle
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Software Development, Computer Engineering or related field
5+ years application development in the .NET technology stack and the SDLC process
Expert level knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript, C#, and SQL
Excellent written and verbal communication
Work well under pressure and timelines to produce results
Keen analytical skill set for assessing requirements
Advanced skills in ASP.NET, MVC.NET, and SQL/SQL Server
Experience implementing and consuming SOAP/REST web services and integrating applications
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Angular development a plus
