Robert Half Payroll Supervisor in Wilmington Nt, Delaware

Description

We have partnered with a reputable production company on their search for a Payroll Supervisor with in-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements. In this role, you will oversee the processing of a high volume of bi-weekly payroll, ensuring policies and procedures are being followed, review and approve payroll adjustments, calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings, maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, assist with the month end close process, manage the performance of the payroll department, and prepare the annual payroll budget. Overall, as the Payroll Supervisor you will ensure the effective use of internal plans and positive employee relations while overseeing the payroll process for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the activities of the payroll department to guarantee accurate payroll

• Supervise the payroll staff to ensure the department's objectives and directions are met

• Provide assistance to the Payroll Manager in the review and finalization of bi-weekly, weekly, and monthly payrolls

• Assist in the preparation of periodic reports and verification of payroll data

• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve employee issues in a timely and detail-oriented manner

• Aid in the preparation and interpretation of written policies and procedures for the payroll department

• Supervise high volume payroll entries using ADP WFN, ServiceTitan time, payroll adjustments, and special payments

• Assist with the calculation and tracking of overpayments

• Display knowledge of basic accounting principles and the ability to track, organize, analyze, and report data clearly

• Provide information upon request regarding employment verification, wages, periods of employment, etc., in accordance with Federal, state, and Local laws

• Act as a backup for Payroll Practitioners and act on behalf of the Payroll Manager in their absence

• Stay updated on Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.

Requirements

The ideal Payroll Supervisor will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Payroll Supervisor role include and are not limited to:

· 4+ years of payroll experience

· 1+ years in a supervisory role

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel

· ADP Workforce Now preferred or similar
