CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a IT Controls System Support.
Type: Contract
Job Title: IT Controls System Support
Location: Wilmington, NC
*Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC *
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, or Associate’s Degree with 2-3 years of experience
A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as
- 1-3 years in a technical role, support role or relevant experience is ideal
Description
The position will also participate in or occasionally lead projects to meet the plant's objectives, drive cost reduction efforts and participate in capacity expansion efforts.
Assist in the management of the warehouse system, as well as coordinating between planners and ERP application engineers.
Requirements:
Assist team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operation. Work with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.
Support process and product optimization/improvement efforts.
Some after hours, on-call support may be needed.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, or Associate’s Degree with 2-3 years of experience
Desired Skills
Some knowledge of databases and SQL is strongly desired
Helpdesk experience
MS Windows and Microsoft Office
Experience in production support in a manufacturing environment
Problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to understand real needs behind operations requests
