Description
We are in the commercial heating and cooling industry, offering an opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware area. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be involved in various financial activities, including month-end closing activities, bank and account reconciliations, and assisting with budget preparation. You will also be managing payables and receivables, processing journal entries, and contributing to system conversion processes.
Responsibilities
• Participate in month-end closing procedures and ensure timely completion
• Handle bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Contribute to financial planning and forecasting by assisting with budget preparation
• Oversee payables and receivables to ensure smooth financial operations
• Process necessary journal entries to keep financial records up-to-date
• Play a key role in the planned system conversion process
• Engage in other duties and assist other teams when required
• Prepare and analyze AIA billing to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Use your knowledge of construction accounting in performing your duties
• Utilize various software tools, including NetSuite, QuickBooks, Procore, and General Ledger.
Requirements • Intermediate Accountant role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or field.
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is essential for this position.
• The candidate must have experience in managing the General Ledger.
• The ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is a crucial requirement.
• Experience in Month End Close processes is necessary.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite and QuickBooks is required.
• Knowledge of Procore software will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with AIA Billing procedures is a must.
• Experience in the Construction industry is preferred.
• Skills in Construction Accounting will significantly benefit the candidate's profile.
