The Raymond Corporation Warehouse Associate - Willow Grove, PA in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania

Job Summary:

As the Warehouse Associate, you will be working with our team of in-house shop technicians to provide general warehouse support including shipping and receiving, verifying customer orders, moving forklifts on the premises, basic maintenance tasks on forklift batteries, and performing basic forklift inspections for quality assurance and/or damage evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload forklifts onto delivery trucks
  • Pull and stage customer forklifts prior to shipment
  • Check customer forklift orders against shipping paperwork
  • Transfer and store items in the warehouse using a forklift
  • Perform basic industrial battery maintenance (charging, watering, cleaning, testing)
  • Perform basic forklift inspections for quality assurance and to identify any damage
  • Ensure cleanliness of all aisles, passageways, and work areas in the warehouse
  • Movement of company vehicles as necessary to accommodate warehouse operations
  • Additional duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM, computer programs

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization as well as customer operations

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years working in a material handling environment
  • Experience working with forklifts and lift truck batteries highly desirable
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet high performance demands
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

  • Must be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl continuously

Work Environment:

Works in a variety of customer environments including manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, and out of doors with exposure to elements. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards and dangerous chemical/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. This position also entails the necessity to work after normal working hours or on weekends based on customer need. Works under normal office conditions were required to sit for extended periods of time. Regularly spend significant amounts of time working in front of a computer terminal or in interactions with various people. Some travel may be required. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
