WILLIAMS COUNTY Licensing Specialist in Williston, North Dakota

The Licensing Specialist performs duties related to processing applications for motor vehicle registration, titling, taxes, leases, and passport issuance. Primary responsibilities include assisting customers in completing applications, reviewing documentation, and processing payments. This position requires exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Provides customer service to the public via telephone, email, and walk-in traffic Assists customers in completing required forms and application materials Conducts research to obtain missing information and validate questionable data Processes a variety of documents, including dealer paperwork, individual registration applications, and passport applications Inspects applications and performs accepted procedures for verification to ensure all requirements are met before processing Monitors all submitted paperwork for fraud and forgery Collects and processes application payments Follows established cash drawer procedure to balance cash drawer and submit paperwork and fees to Treasures Office Completes required communications, reports, and record-keeping tasks related to processed applications Performs precise data entry and documentation Attends required training Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code.

Typical Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years experience working in an office environment Must possess a valid North Dakota Drivers License, or equivalent Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Supplemental Information

Must be able to travel for occasional, scheduled training

Compensation:Starting pay ranges from $21.50 to $23.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
