Clinical Instructor LPN

SHIFT: Full-Time

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assists in the planning, developing, directing, evaluating, and coordinating of the Nurse Aide Training Program. The clinical supervisor may not function in any other capacity or be assigned to carry out any responsibilities or duties while they are directly supervising trainees during the supervised clinical training portion of the nurse aid training program, and they may not run more than eight trainees during the supervised clinical training portion of the training program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in planning, developing, directing, evaluating, and coordinating Nurses and Nurse Aide training programs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • New York State Nurse licensure

  • Experience in long-term care facility required

  • Quality assurance and nurse education experience required

  • Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions regarding infection control and nurse education

  • Ability to work well with and show respect toward other healthcare personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents, and their family members

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness

  • Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
