Overview

Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Location: Williamsport, PA

To direct, delegate, and supervise assembly and technical operations of the assigned product area. Mentors, trains, and motivates all direct reports to achieve finest end results

Responsibilities

  • Meets or exceeds set production quotas and targets.

  • Delegates job tasks and schedules as per personnel abilities and skills.

  • Meets or exceeds set yield targets.

  • Mentors all in group through leadership, motivation, and training.

  • Assures employees are cross trained on key tasks to be backups for each other.

  • Communicates sub-assemblies’ delivery status ‘from ‘or ‘to’ with other supervisors and management.

  • Proper use of scrap or by-products through reusing, recycling, or properly disposing off to designated department.

  • Interacts and seeks input from Production Engineers and Management.

  • Submits overtime request when utmost necessary.

  • Assures all final assemblies or sub-assemblies are of utmost highest quality with minimal returns or reworks.

  • Assures all equipment & assembly tools are working properly, as well as calibrations schedules are met in timely manners.

  • Reviews assembly methods and drawings routinely to capture any inadequacies and recommends ECOs thereof.

  • Fills any injury/illness report timely and submits to EH&S.

  • Leads or participates in any product line transfers for existing products.

  • Troubleshoots any unexpected human, manufacturing, or equipment events, seeking all available resources.

  • Conducts performance reviews and set objectives and goals for all direct reports.

  • Must be proficient with any tasks normally assigned to direct reports in case of backlogs or special order rushes.

  • Trains a designated Lead member to act as backup in case of personal absence.

  • Takes disciplinary actions as per company guidelines without the intent of bias of retaliations.

  • Assures all PPE/ISO guidelines are practiced in daily operations by self and all direct reports.

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent with five years manufacturing experience.

  • 5+ years experience in a Supervisory role or 5+ years hand on direct experience in Assembly Operations in a high tech area or Defense industry.

  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective communicator.
