Sodexo is seeking a General Manager V for a large, upscale retirement community offering resort-quality amenities in Newport News, VA. T his role will managea 5 Star Dining Program with oversight and the implementation of; high-quality systems and standards, impeccable food safety and sanitation, the development of client and resident relations, and innovative training programs. Have daily interactions with residents and clients to provide amazing customer service and program enhancements.In this pivotal position, the GM will need exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors, managing people, and dining services to exceed resident & client expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a fine dining background . Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) (preferred) or enrolled and demonstrating active participation.
We are looking for a candidate who will:
Interface closely and daily with residents, client executive-level leadership, and client board members.
Manage a budget of $5 to $10 Million annually
Lead daily operations related to 5-star dining, customer service, quality, and cost controls.
Manage and lead 5 management-level employees and 4 client employees.
Responsible for driving resident satisfaction through strong employee engagement and quality of service.
Work to achieve company and client financial targets and goals for multiple budget areas.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.
Create a positive environment and successfully motivate and manage the team.
