Geisinger Transaction Analyst- Days in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Processes and analyzes data, providing an auditable trail, obtaining conclusions and by providing recommendations. Assures data gathering for the completion of routine reports and completed projects that impact the total Supply Chain Logistics department.

Job Duties

  • Assures timely and effective response to all consuming departments' requirements, including accurate and prompt document transmittal.

  • Provides technological orientation for handheld processes and reviewing system reports at the completion of Lawson activities.

  • Assists in the implementation, daily functions, trouble shooting and solutions documentation of computer systems for the Logistics department.

  • Researches stock outs and overstock and suggests product min and max quantities as necessary by communicating information to the Inventory Control Specialist.

  • Responds to Inventory Control Specialist inquiries for critical delivery dates.

  • Selects and sets up bin locations for new products.

  • Removes and decrements deleted product from warehouse.

  • Maintains bin labels for product changes.

  • Analyzes all par management reports and completes inventory activities required to match product usage to paring frequency, in conjunction with sourcing specialist, CUE Director, Operations Coordinator, Nursing Operations Manager, and Logistics Supervisor.

  • This process will be completed for all par areas on a quarterly or semi-annual schedule based on volume of par areas.

  • Develops and maintains the Patient Charge system within the Supply Chain Department.

  • Accurate pricing records must be recorded and easily accessed by all Logistics personnel.

  • Promotes cooperation with all personnel and with various consumers of service.

  • Interacts with other departments to optimize services rendered.

  • Establishes and maintains in-service and training programs.

  • Assures compliance with Joint Commission regulations and other regulatory agencies, including internal agencies.

  • Participates in educational opportunities to maintain and expand supply knowledge.

  • Pertinent programs and seminars may be selected by the manager and employee.

  • Participates in monthly Logistics staff meetings to communicate information, to hold product in-services and to provide a forum for communication exchange.

  • Assists with inventory redesign in external departments.

  • Involves layout and setup of supply areas and shelving, creating supply requisitions, establishing par levels, product placement, application of all pertinent signage and labeling and performance of the responsible staff in maintaining the entire order process from requisitioning to stocking.

  • Routinely advises management of departmental actions, developments, problems and opportunities by raising issues and presenting solutions.

  • Participates in pertinent budget preparations and provides assistance to other areas or departments in addressing budgetary problems.

  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures for the Logistics Department.

  • Provides leadership in testing of Lawson System i.e. upgrades, new releases and patches.

  • Performs Lawson system maintenance for handheld par accounts.

  • Adds new units and departments as required.

  • Assists with cycle counts and physical inventory.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
