CVS Health has an exciting opportunity in Wilkes-Barre, PA for a Warehouse Associate to be a part of our Mail Order Pharmacy team! The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner. As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your skills and experience to work in a closed-door pharmacy setting. You will make a difference by exceling in a complex, high impact dispensing role and positively impacting the lives of others. You will work alongside a team of talented individuals in a concerted team effort and under the direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Pharmacy Supervisors. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, team orientation, and problem-solving skills.

As a Materials Technician working in the pharmacy, you get to perform a variety of roles including but not limited to cycle-counting of products throughout the warehouse facility, processing RGM's (Returned Goods) and the disposition of the returned material, and inventory maintenance (slotting, NDC & location changes). A successful Materials Technician in the Materials Dispensing role will need to be very detailed oriented, confident in their math skills, and possess great computer skills.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the input of all inventory received.

  • Assisting in the flow of inventory/purchasing processes.

  • Will be the internal resource for other departments regarding inventory concerns.

Schedule: D-Shift - Sun thru Wed 8:00pm - 6:30am (four 10-hour shifts per week, ending at 6:30 am on Thursday)

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be able to:

  • Provide verification of high school diploma or GED

  • Regular and predictable attendance

  • Work mandatory overtime/extended work week, when needed

  • 3+ months of Microsoft Office experience

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for moving from one work area to another or within the same work area

  • Ability to utilize equipment that elevates over 15 feet

  • Ability to occasionally lift/reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk with up to 55 lbs to move objects

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer screen, reading, visual inspection involving small parts

  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted

  • Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm

  • Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

  • Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist

  • Stooping to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles

  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately

  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of old orders, pharmaceutical drug names, NDC system and SAP.

  • Formal Pharmacy Technician training and/or experience

  • Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team

Education

  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $26.21

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
