Bio-Techne Commercial Sales Support (2 Year Fixed Term Contract) in Wiesbaden, Germany

This position will hold responsibility for nurturing and supporting existing business throughout Switzerland for the Bio-Techne Portfolio, managed from the Wiesbaden office. In this position you will be expected to maintain an extremely high level of customer and market knowledge throughout the life science space with an emphasis on linking Industry and Academia together.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and Nurture Existing Business:

• Ensure an allocated existing customer base throughout Switzerland is supported by understanding their current research and how the Bio-Techne portfolio sits within this.

• Work closely with new labs and/or entities within academic and industrial accounts to ensure correct onboarding is achieved resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction

• Use a selection of channels to support and develop new/existing business opportunities, including live in bound enquiries via the website, outbound cold calls, in bound/out bound emails and social media.

• Keep all channels of communication open with internal and external sales teams in our Central region, lead generation and marketing to ensure a cohesive team for maximum customer support.

• Work closely with Marketing, Technical and Account Managers to execute bespoke projects to drive revenue.

• Work closely with Product Management to tailor and advise on market communication plans

• Identifying business growth opportunities in collaboration with Account Management and Specialist team

• Act in a commercially savvy way to unlock new business opportunities through existing customers as well as live interactive web chats.

• Maintain awareness and knowledge of marketplace and competitors. Report findings and potential pipeline both monthly and quarterly to the Country Manager.

• Represent the company at domestic and international conferences where applicable.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• BSc in a biological based subject

• An understanding of the Life Science Market

• Fluent in German and English.

• Demonstrable experience of working within a customer care/sales environment with a strong commercial focus.

• Experience of using own initiative and working in a target driven environment.

• Ability to track return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPI’s)

• Possess excellent IT skills; including experience of working with databases, Office Outlook, using Excel and Word are essential.
