Description
Job Functions:
Perform First Article, in-process, receiving and final inspection in support of Assembly production activities
Approve incoming materials and parts by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conduction visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Participates in frequent and detailed recurrent training courses covering aerospace systems and requirements, company operations policy, etc
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures LLC
Position Requirements
Skills Required:
Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications and standards
Familiar with Geometric Tolerances, GDT
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office
Self-motivated and well organized
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
Must pass yearly Inspector Vision Exam
Education and Experience Required:
High School diploma or GED
2 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry, preferred
Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, etc,, preferred
Corrective action and root cause experience, preferred
