We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR Generalist with a strong focus on Talent Acquisition and Onboarding. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, facilitating pre-employment outcomes, leading orientation, and ensuring a positive and seamless candidate experience.

In addition to recruitment and onboarding, the ideal candidate will be eager to support a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, HRIS administration, benefits support, and compliance efforts. This individual will also play a key role in implementing and optimizing HR systems, driving process improvements, and contributing to initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience. A collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset is essential, as this role will help shape a welcoming, efficient, and scalable people-first workplace.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Manage the full recruitment life cycle: job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment through every stage of the process.
  • Facilitate pre-employment activities including background checks, drug screens, pre-employment physicals, reference checks, and onboarding paperwork.
  • Prepare and deliver new hire orientation, ensuring a consistent and welcoming experience for all new team members.
  • Develop and implement engaging onboarding programs that promote a strong start and reinforce Huttons values.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions to reflect Huttons values along with the role and organizational needs.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics and make proactive recommendations to continuously improve process efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Plan, organize and attend college and career fairs.
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and successful execution of the summer internship program, ensuring a positive experience that makes them want to work for Hutton.
  • Collaborate with the Director of People Operations on proactive recruitment strategies for current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Support workforce planning efforts, including backfills and succession pipelines for critical roles.
  • Contribute to career pathing initiatives to support employee growth and internal mobility.

Generalist Responsibilities

  • Provide support in areas such as employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration across the organization.
  • Assist in performance management initiatives such as evaluation reminders and tracking.
  • Maintain awareness of HR trends and compliance requirements to support the overall team.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee records and HRIS data integrity.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with HR reporting and data analysis to support decision-making and compliance audits.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events.
