ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the general supervision of the Cash Supervisor, the Cash Specialist will be responsible for cash and revenue related items including the cash responsibilities listed below. They are also responsible for other tasks and responsibilities assigned by their supervisor. This position is required to be in the Wichita, KS Office.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of lookup functions and pivot tables
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills
  4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned projects to meet deadlines
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and vendors
  6. Self-motivated; ability to take on assigned tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred:

  1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or actively pursuing a degree
  2. Experience with deposit and credit card verifications
  3. Experience with Accounts Receivable
  4. Basic understanding of debits and credits

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Cash, Credit Cards, and Gift Card Verification on Daily/Weekly Basis
    1. Download daily activity from bank
    2. Verify polled store deposits against bank
    3. Research any variances
    4. Daily reporting to client
    5. Follow all PCI guidelines

Verify automated upload for accuracy or manually key and verify charges 3. Load or key and verify any specialty invoices required by client 4. Print invoices 5. Mail invoices to customers 6. Copy checks for backup and record on bank deposit slip if applicable 7. Deposit checks in local bank account if applicable 8. Enter payments in accounts receivable system 9. Verify entries for accuracy 10. Review aging report and make necessary adjustments 11. Accounts receivable aging report to client 12. Account receivable statement to customer

{=html} <!-- --> - Cash Position Report 1. Download daily operating account activity 2. Record bank deposits and withdrawals on report 3. Download or gather check detail for associated accounts 4. Record checks issued and voided on report

{=html} <!-- --> - Daily/Weekly Drawdowns (Sweeps) 1. Gather closing ledger bank balances and send to client a required 2. Transfer funds from each depository account to clients operating account 3. Leave minimum balance in each account per clients instructions
