Job Title: Aircraft Painter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, masking, and painting aircraft surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance manual specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Exterior paint experience

  • Clean, mask, and apply stripper to aircraft surfaces for paint removal.

  • Remove stripper and prepare the aircraft for the paint process.

  • Apply aerodynamic filler and mask the aircraft using tapes and paper products to protect windows, seals, struts, and cables.

  • Mix primers and paints as per the manufacturer's maintenance manual specifications.

Essential Skills

  • 3 years of full-body aircraft painting experience, including prepping, stripping, and masking.

  • Proficiency in using spray guns for painting.

  • Experience in sanding and surface preparation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Possess and maintain a current and valid driver's license.

  • Experience with Cessna products is preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

This role is based in an FBO environment, primarily working in the hangar but occasionally on the flightline. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 5am to 1:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WICHITA, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
