Vocational Innovations Administrative Assistant - Whittier in Whittier, California
About Us: We are a Community Based Adult Service (CBAS) program licensed by the State Department of Health and Aging that offers medical and social services supports to a diverse range of clients. Since 1998, we take great pride in providing services to older and disabled adults to help them restore and maintain their optimal capacity for self-care, independence, and self-advocacy to prevent unnecessary hospitalization.
We are looking for a motivated candidate that can help provide administrative support to our professional staff and program director.
Compensation: $25.00/hr
Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday (Full Time, 40 hours per week)
Location: 14268 Telegraph Rd Whittier CA 90604
What You Will Do:
Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
Meet and greet clients and visitors.
Create and modify documents using Microsoft office 365.
Take daily staff and client attendance.
Coordinate Transportation schedules with drivers.
Type reports and/or plans of care for professional staff.
Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
Set up and coordinate meetings and conferences.
Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, photocopying, faxing, emailing, filing.
What’s Required:
Must Have Bachelor’s degree
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft office including Excel
Strong Organization skills
Must be able to pass a health screen and background check
What We Offer:
Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00pm
Hourly compensation $25
7 vacation days, 40 hours sick time and 6 paid holidays per year.
