NJ Employer Livestock Handler in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Anticipated period of employment: 02/01/2024 to 10/01/2024.

This job requires a minimum of 6 months of experience working in Livestock.

Assist in daily animal care under strict regulatory guidelines. Demonstrate a passion for learning agriculture, cattle feeding, and handling for veterinary treatments. Prepare feed for the animals and nurse unwell animals. Repair machinery and maintain vehicles, equipment, and infrastructure such as fencing, in top performance. Manages inventory and gives a list of needed supplies to order to the cattle Manager. Follows development plans for farm operations and Farm-to-table operations. Conduct best farming/breeding practices and keep abreast of developments in agricultural science and local state requirements. Executing breeding plans for cattle. Rotational grazing/pasture management plans. This includes but is not limited to weed and invasive species control. Monitor farm progress and keep accurate records. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors.
