Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey
Description Robert Half is searching for a skilled, eager, and strong candidate to fill the role of an Accounting Manager for an expanding, Landscaping/Construction company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Major responsibilities
Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met
Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems Requirements - Excellent problem-solving skills - Adeptness in Bank Account Reconciliation - Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger - Experience with Loan Administration - Practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) - Month end closings experience - Proficiency in payroll - Depreciation Calculations experience preferred - Solid understanding of Quickbooks Online - General familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) - Customer service oriented communication skills - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable - Recent relevant financial experience - Reliable technology and analytical abilities
