Work Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift

Compensation: $32.33-$32.33/hour

Tessera is seeking an efficient and driven Electrician with a professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for replacing lamps and ballasts.

  • cleaning lighting fixtures, replacing receptacles, various switches and other connections and performing miscellaneous re-lamping repairs.

  • Minor electrical repairs including, but not limited to; outlet repairs and /or replacement; circuit breaker(s), various sensors, and ground fault interruptions, etc.

  • Must have the ability to distinguish between different wire colors.

  • Performs routine electrical maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently in accordance with NEC.

  • Ability to install and or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.

  • Inspect, operate and test HVAC industrial equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions.

  • Plan and layout repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.

  • Record maintenance and repair work performed and the completion of the work.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in all areas of general contracting/maintenance preferred. Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.

  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.

  • Ability to work in team environment.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.

  • New Mexico State Journeyman Electrician License required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
