Job Title: FUSRAP Site Lead

Location(s): Westminster , CO

Status: Full-Time

FLSA: Exempt

Hiring Range: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/yr. ( The anticipated starting salary is based on minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for aFormerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) Site Lead who will be responsible for pre-transition and transition activities for assigned active sites and long-term stewardship activities for assigned completed sites and activities for ineligible sites as assigned. Performs technical site oversight and management activities in support of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Legacy Management (LM) FUSRAP Manager and LM Site Managers. Serves as cost account lead for assigned FUSRAP budgets. Assists the FUSRAP Manager with programmatic document updates and monthly financial reporting.

This position is required to travel 10 to 20% of the time.

Primary responsibilities and essential functions:

  • Supports FUSRAP team with site and programmatic document updates.

  • Understands and documents future long-term stewardship (LTS) requirements and environmental liabilities for each site.

  • Updates FUSRAP program management and supporting programmatic planning documents.

  • Performs pre-transition disposition activities, as well as transition planning and transition execution activities for assigned FUSRAP active sites, as appropriate.

  • Participates and prepares materials including presentations for the annual LM-U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) joint FUSRAP Program meeting and LM-approved USACE Division and District site tours.

  • Performs LTS management and oversight for assigned completed sites to ensure the final remedies are compliant and protective measures are working independently and collectively.

  • Coordinates with asset management to maintain the necessary access agreements and perform necessary notifications to support site activities.

  • Plans and performs routine site maintenance and completes site inspection, groundwater sampling, and reporting requirements, as appropriate for assigned FUSRAP completed sites.

  • Completes fact sheet and webpage updates and desktop assessments for assigned FUSRAP completed sites, as appropriate.

  • Performs annual updates to LTS Plans for assigned FUSRAP completes sites, as appropriate.

  • Prepares desktop assessments, Five Year Reviews (FYRs), and Long-Term Periodic Reviews (LTPRs) for assigned FUSRAP completed sites, as appropriate.

  • Responds to stakeholder inquiries, performs eligibility determinations, and maintains records as needed.

  • Participates and prepares paper and presentation for national conference, as appropriate.

  • Performs annual life-cycle baseline updates, as needed.

  • Supports FUSRAP Manager with financial reporting and cost account management including earned value management for assigned FUSRAP budgets and schedules.

  • Serves as peer reviewer for other FUSRAP Site Leads and mentor to FUSRAP Scientist as directed.

  • Supports annual updates to life-cycle baselines for assigned FUSRAP sites as directed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • High level of safety awareness, ability to execute work safely, to lead by example and contribute to a safe working culture.

  • Knowledge of fundamental principles, concepts, and techniques and demonstrated experience in the planning and coordination of environmental projects/programs.

  • Knowledge and experience related to principles, concepts, and techniques in geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical or environmental engineering, or equivalent environmental sciences.

  • Experience in writing technical reports and preparing presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting team goals.

  • Demonstrated excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Ability to ensure that all site activities are conducted in a safe manner and comply with established policies and procedures.

Required Education and Years of Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering (environmental, civil, geotechnical, geological, chemical), environmental science or related field. Experience in lieu of education considered.Minimum of 10 years of relative experience

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
