Robert Half Accounting Manager in Westlake, Ohio

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of general accounting processes. This hybrid role, based in Westlake, Ohio, offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial analysis, manage transactional accounting, and drive month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in accounting systems and ERP platforms, with a strong focus on delivering precise financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and provide actionable insights to leadership.

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.

• Ensure compliance with auditing standards and internal controls, addressing any discrepancies promptly.

• Supervise the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

• Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

• Monitor financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and forecasting initiatives.

• Oversee the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance workflows.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and development. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in accounting management, with a strong understanding of general accounting principles.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

• Expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes.

• Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis and prepare accurate reconciliations.

• Familiarity with auditing practices and regulatory compliance standards.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
