Aerotek Welder in Westfield, Indiana

Position Title : Welder and Fitter

Overview :

We are searching for an experienced and dependable Welder and Fitter to play a key role in our material equipment projects. This position primarily involves welding and fitting tasks, supplemented by responsibilities such as fabrication, assembly, painting, and maintenance of shop equipment. The ideal candidate will uphold the specified tolerances and dimensions outlined in individual blueprints.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Execute general welding and fitting to create weldments for material equipment projects.

  • Perform fabrication, assembly, and painting tasks as required.

  • Oversee general repairs and maintenance of shop equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with tolerances and dimensions specified in technical blueprints.

Core Competencies :

  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

  • Expertise in MIG and TIG welding.

  • Extensive experience in fabrication and fitting processes.

  • Proven capability in aluminum welding.

Additional Qualifications :

  • 1-2 years of practical experience in the welding and fitting industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality welded components from blueprints with minimal rejections, under supervision.

  • Competence in creating components from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum based on sketches and drawings, with guidance.

Work Schedule :

This role follows a second-shift schedule, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.20 - $27.50/hr.
